Error-Free® Field Inspection of Equipment Failure Precursors

Reviews: (1,860)
4.8/5

Why is this course unique?

This course is the only picture-based, hands-on training in the industry that helps engineers, maintenance crafts, or QA/QC inspectors to perform effective field observations of equipment failure precursors. More than 300 images are used to describe the 75 commonly encountered failure symptoms for various components in the power industry. Without knowing what precursors to look for, nor knowing what instrument to use to detect the precursors, many equipment failures that could have been prevented or correctly investigated went unnoticed, thus missing opportunities to fix the problems in a timely fashion.

Benefits of this course:

The saying, “Pictures are worth a thousand words” truly applies here. This picture-based, hands-on training helps students remember failure symptoms as well as identify failure precursors to detect incipient failures and to correctly investigate the failure modes. This training course is a must for field engineers, field QA/QC inspectors, or field supervisors to lead the team performing maintenance work.

The software-prompted field observation help me see human performance problems way ahead of real problems.

Site Manager at a Construction Company

All observed human performance problems are automatically categorized, trended, and recorded sometimes with pictures. A great tool.

Manager at a Transmission and Distribution company

We used to do field observation without knowing what to look for about behavioral issues. Wasted a lot of time. This software is focused and help us see human performance problems right away.

Supervisor at a Nuclear Power Plant

It is agile and convenient: no paper, just a mobile phone. It beats filling out paper work and typing up reports.

Inspection Engineer

This technology allows me to know and see what is going on in the field on a real time basis. It has no lagging time to correct a problem in the field.

VP at a Submarine Manufacturing Company
